The four you cannot see are the four a cheap quote leaves out. This is what we put on your house, in order, and why each one is there.

  2. Flashing & drip edgeMetal at every valley, wall, chimney and edge. This is where almost every leak we get called out to actually starts.
  3. Ice & water shieldA self-sealing membrane in the valleys and along the eaves, where wind-driven rain gets pushed backwards up the roof.
  4. UnderlaymentThe waterproof layer over the whole deck. It is your roof's second chance when the surface takes damage.
  5. Roof deckThe wood everything sits on. We check it once the old roof is off and replace what is rotted, rather than nailing over it.

Every quote we give tells you what is going on all five layers. If another quote is cheaper, ask them which one they left out.

Do you subcontract the work, or is it your own crew?

Our own crew, every time. Tony is on the job with his team. The people who quote your roof are the people who work on it, and they are covered by our insurance and workers' comp.

Do you work with insurance companies?

Yes. A large share of our jobs are storm, wind or hail claims. We give you an honest estimate regardless of who is paying, and we will walk you through what the insurance company is asking for.

How long does a typical repair or replacement take?

It depends on the size and pitch of your roof, the material going on it, and what the weather is doing that week. Rather than quote you a number here that may not hold, Tony gives you a firm timeline along with your written quote, before you commit to anything.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. Free, and with no obligation attached. If we look at your roof and it does not need work yet, we will say so.

What areas do you serve?

We are based in Bethel and cover Greenville and the rest of Pitt County, plus the surrounding towns. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask.

Do you do metal roofs, shingle roofs, or both?

Both, plus flat roof systems. For shingle roofs we use CertainTeed exclusively, and Tony holds their ShingleMaster credential. We also install metal, TPO and EPDM rubber membrane, and silicone coatings for flat roofs worth saving.

Do you work on flat or commercial roofs?

Yes. TPO and EPDM rubber membrane are what most flat and low-slope roofs need, and a silicone coating can add years to one that is aging but still structurally sound. We will tell you honestly which of the two your roof calls for.

Do you do gutters too?

Yes, installation and replacement. A new roof over failing gutters still puts water where you do not want it.

What if something goes wrong after the job is done?

You call us and we come back out. We are a local family business, not a company that disappears once the check clears. The specific coverage on your job is written into the quote you sign, so you have it in front of you before any work starts.
